Abstract
Standardization in the field of plastics piping systems, including, but not limited to, principle, reagents, equipment and its operation, test procedure and expression of results. This standard specifies a method for the determination of the metal migration from the internal surface of plastics pipes, fittings and joins to be used for the transport of water intended for human consumption by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS). This standard applies to determination of the metal migration values of lead (Pb), tin (Sn), antimony (Sb), cadmium (Cd), chromium (Cr), copper (Cu), barium (Ba), etc. This standard is suitable for all plastics pipes, fittings, and joints to be used for the transport of water and raw water intended for human consumption.
